Last night, as we were in our taxi, heading from the hotel to the Globe Theatre, we passed Buckingham Palace. On the side of the road were at least 20 TV vans and 20 reporters filing stories using the palace as a background. I wondered what was going on? It seemed unusual, especially at night. When we arrived at the theatre someone said that the prince was getting married. This morning, the London Times devoted at least 15 pages to stories about William and Kate, including "Something borrowed and blue for the new romantics," "The thoroughly modern Middletons marry into the firm,""We do know how to put on a bit of a 'do',"Our royals are best with a strong woman at or behind the throne," and my favorite, "How a middle-class Babykins won the heart of Big Willies!" No comment needed :)
