The Vancouver Convention Center is located right on the
harbor, next to the cruise dock. When going from session to session at the pediatric
meetings, one is treated to marvelous views inside and out. 
The Drop is a glass
sculpture that is outside the Convention building. Created by a consortium of
Berlin artists known as Inges Idee, it pays homage to the element of water. It
looks like a giant raindrop landed on the boardwalk and is supposed to
symbolize the untamable force of Mother Nature.
