December 21, 2011Iguanas are everywhere in the Yucatan peninsula. As the sign says, they are iconic and can live up to fifteen years. In El Garrafon park we saw the statue of the giant iguana. In many places on the Isla Mujeres there were charming signs that warned us to watch out for the iguanas crossing. At the Hacienda Mundaca we saw a cool iguana hiding in one of the ruined buildings.
