We don’t agree with his politics, but the man does know how to run
a hotel! While the Intercontinental Playa Bonita was nice, once we arrived at
the Trump Ocean Club in Punta Paitilla, Panama City, we realized that the
vacation just went up a notch. From the doorman’s initial greetings onwards, the
service was extraordinary. The building itself is dramatically shaped like a
sailboat and all of the rooms have views of the Bay of Panama on the Pacific.

The interiors are
contemporary, from the art (is this a portrait of the Donald in pennies, we
wondered?) to the room design.
The egg-shaped bathtub in the middle of the room
is certainly an unusual touch.
The infinity pools are beautiful but they do
make it look like you might drop down 13 stories if you take an extra stroke!
