The restaurant is located in the courtyard of one of Milan's most prestigious homes, built in the 17th century for a noble family.
Francesca’s boss invited us to have lunch at Il Salumaio,
which is an elegant restaurant just off of Via Montenapoleone Street, the
Madison Avenue of Milan.
The other diners were truly beautiful people dressed
to the nines, even if they were in jeans. The food was extraordinary. The veal
Milanese was the best I had ever eaten!
After lunch we walked down Montenapoleone Street and went into various shops. Many of them are in unbelievably beautiful prior homes, such as the Villa Meissen.
It gives new meaning to the term "a shopping experience."
